“We decided to go with Cogniliving’s comprehensive module which includes lighting control, security, safety and home entertainment fitted in our apartment in Dubai Marina.

We love the whole system, Bill’s favorite part is the Entertainment and lights scene settings. We have one scene set up called ‘Relax’ and once the children have gone to bed with one click, all the lights dim. The entertainment system is fantastic, being able to scroll through my movie and music catalogue on my phone, and then also manage the TV and sound system from my phone  is so easy to use and convenient. You could never do this on a conventional TV. In fact we have been able to hide all the electronics now because we don't know an infra-red remote to control them. All of this improved our quality of life.

The door, flood and smoke detectors give us great peace of mind. Our dishwasher once leaked and because it went undiscovered, ruined our kitchen cabinet and cost us a lot to repair. Now we can detect a flood at the early stages before any damage is caused. The door sensors on the balcony also bring us great peace of mind. We live on the 65th floor so as you can imagine with having children it’s very important to monitor the opening and closing of balcony doors to keep our children from going out on the balcony without supervision. But the single biggest advantage to us has been the security cameras.

When leaving our children with the nanny we wanted to be able to make sure they were safe. If one of the children had an accident we wanted to also be able to go back to see what happened. We, like most traditional family’s had baby monitors but there were wires everywhere and they didn’t work properly due to internal walls blocking the signal. "A simple to use smart home system was promised and it’s exactly what we got!  It really works well for us.  The Cognihomes system was much better value than all the other smart homes systems we researched and it was completely installed in a few days. 

We have a very "cool" home automation system we can show off when our friends visit and we save money on power & water consumption.  For our family, we wanted peace of mind with some good security features as well as all the cool gadgets to control mood lighting, power, AC, entertainment system and even our garden watering system. 

One of the best things is that the system is completely wireless so no drilling - when we have to leave this house, we can take everything with us and no huge repair bills.

The whole system is very powerful.  We love the fact that we can have the AC turn itself on when we are 10 minutes from home. Or when certain conditions occur, we can receive a notification and remotely check out what’s happening via the security camera's.  When we want to watch a movie - one swipe and the lights and entertainment options are good to go. We used to have 4 remotes to control the TV and speakers which was very confusing and now we can control it all simply from our phone, it’s great  We can control pretty well anything anytime from anywhere.

It’s really helpful to automate some of these basic everyday life tasks and it really does make a difference.
